Remo Vintage Ambassador 13 - Coated - Va-0113-00 The first Weatherking Drumhead was made of newly introduced Mylar from DuPont™. 7 mil and 3 mil ply films were combined to make the first AMBASSADOR® drumhead. It was the drumhead that changed the sound of the world. History The growth of the drum-set as a popular musical instrument became a reality the day Ringo Starr appeared with the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. That day, the drum-set boom took off and Remo Drumheads went with it.
