Gretsch Ca1-e825-bnb - Catalina Ash 2014 Fusion Standard 22 10 12 16 - 14x5.5 Black Natural Burst New for Gretsch® in 2014 is the Catalina Ash series. Catalina Ash features newly-designed hardware components and Gretsch-formula ash shells for a contemporary look and sound. The 6-ply ash shells are produced without reinforcement rings and have 30-degree bearing edges with 2.0mm triple-flanged hoops. Sonically, this Gretsch shell specification produces a focused tone that has a strong attack, balanced low-end and loud dynamic range. Gretsch´s new contemporary Catalina series hardware features round gas cap bass drum mount plate with special G memory lock, ultra low-mass GTS tom suspension, double tom holder with 7/8 hole for cymbal attachment and Gretsch T-Wing screws and bolts for drummer-friendly feel. Round Catalina Ash badges adorn each shell. Catalina Ash is available as a 5-piece configuration in five finishes. Burst finishes feature an open grain ash shell exterior that displays the deep grain of the ash shell and adds depth to the overall finish. Shell interiors are sanded in a natural finish to allow the natural beauty of the ash grain to be fully visible. Add-on drums are available.
